Sailing cruising yachting season opens in Sebastopol on April 29

Regatta "Friendship" already traditionally opens the sailing season cruising yachts Russia. A feature of the competition is participation in the regatta combines teams from different parts of our country. This year in the City-Hero will gather more than 160 sailors of Moscow and Moscow region, Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny-Novgorod, Taganrog, Saratov, Novorossiysk, Sochi, Sevastopol and Kerch.

Race will be held in class yachts of Open 800, "Cybertonic", SB20 and in the test group, ORC yachts 30-35 ft. Yachts of class Open 800 for the second year in a row participating in the Friendship, and this year the fleet of participants promises an addition, plan to attend about ten of the strongest crew of Russia.

Chetvertichnye – founders regatta in this class perform joint crews. Yachts of ORC long 30-35 ft for the first time will take part in the Friendship. The group promises to be small but very bright. Honor of the hero city of Sevastopol will defend the yacht "Aya" captain, the President of Federation of sailing of Sevastopol Zubkov Valery Yakovlevich, multiple winner and winner of the blue ribbon "Cup of Crimea". Novorossiysk will represent one of the fastest boats on the black sea coast of Russia in recent years "Symphony" - captain, President of the Association of cruising yachts Black sea, the winner of the regatta Friendship 2017 – Anton Timakov. And in this duel will intervene yacht "Amigo" modern domestic project Rocket-970 from the city of Saratov, the captain of the Oleg Tikhonov. The crew of the Amiga will have to overcome the difficult path from Saratov to the Crimea.

The overall race route will exceed 100 nautical miles, the competition involves a series of short (port) racing on the inner roads of the Sevastopol coastal daytime and 6 stages on the route Sevastopol - Balaklava - B. Balaclava - Balaclava - b. Cossack – b. Musketeers - Sevastopol. The regatta will be held from 1 to 6 may 2018.

"Our main goal is the strengthening of friendly relations and exchange of experience among the sailors of Sevastopol and other regions of Russia, - says the Vice-President of the Association of yachts of class Open 800 Dmitry zhayvoronok. - Promotion of sailing as a healthy and active lifestyle, promoting the attractiveness of the region and the Black sea for sailing and yacht tourism, as well as demonstration to the participants and guests of the regatta unique features of Sevastopol and the Crimea: history, culture and nature".

The event is organized by the sailing Federation of Sevastopol, the sailing Federation of the Crimea, the Association of the fleet "Chetvertichnogo", the Association of the class Open 800, OOO "Sport fleet" with the support of the Sports centre (sea and physical preparation of Sevastopol) V MO RF CSKA.

In the framework of the regatta, the Friendship will be organized in a separate race for crews of the representatives of sponsors and partners (construction companies of the Crimea), yacht class Open800.
